Our Mission – The Metzenbaum Foundation enhances the quality of life for Geauga County citizens with developmental disabilities, and promotes public awareness of the needs and abilities of such individuals throughout the community.
Our Vision – The Metzenbaum Foundation continuously works to bring funding and programming to the developmentally disabled population through our endowment and through a partnership with the Geauga County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Our vision is to combine resources and build relationships with our neighbors to nourish the lives of all individuals in this friendly place we call home.
Programs
The Metzenbaum Foundation supports and administers programs and activities to engage, integrate and support individuals with developmental disabilities in Geauga County. The foundation partners with and utilizes local organizations to implement meaningful experiences for the whole community.
Grants
The Metzenbaum Foundation supports our clients and community with over $30,000 in grants each year. Funds are awarded to individuals with developmental disabilities and are sponsored by employees of the Geauga County Board of DD.
The grants we provide focus on priority areas of need; Adaptive Equipment, Adaptive Housing Modifications, Educational Tools, Respite Care and Therapies.
